Ingredients
  

  • 9 bagels
  • 240 g 8.5 oz herb and chive flavored cream cheese, or plain cream cheese
  • 425 g 15 oz cold smoked salmon or lox slices
  • 65 g 2.3 oz capers
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 30 g 1 oz fresh dill, chopped
  • Optional toppings: thinly sliced cucumber tomato, avocado

Instructions
 

  • Slice the bagels in half horizontally.
  • Generously spread cream cheese on the cut sides of each bagel half.
  • Arrange thin slices of smoked salmon or lox on the cream cheese.
  • Garnish with thinly sliced red onion, a sprinkling of capers, and a dash of freshly chopped dill.
  • For a sandwich-style presentation, place the lox-topped bagel half on top of the other half.
  • Optionally, add thinly sliced cucumber, tomato, or avocado for extra freshness and flavor.

Notes

  • Substitute plain cream cheese with herb and chive flavored variety for a tangier flavor.
