These incredibly simple Air Fryer Buffalo Wings are so delicious that if you love Buffalo Wings, I'm confident you'll find yourself making them repeatedly! The nutritional details have been estimated for a serving size of four wings, intended as an appetizer portion, but it's likely you'll find it challenging to stop at just that amount.
2lbschicken wingsseparated into flats and drumettes (907g)
1teaspoonsalt6g
½teaspoonblack pepper1.5g
½cupFrank's RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce120ml
¼cupunsalted buttermelted (57g)
Instructions
Dry the wings with paper towels. Season them all over with salt and pepper.
Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping. You may need to cook in batches.
Air fry the wings at 380°F (193°C) for 20 minutes, flipping them over halfway through cooking.
Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C). Continue air frying the wings for 5-8 more minutes, until they are golden brown and super crispy.
While the wings are cooking, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a large mixing bowl.
When the wings are done, transfer them to the bowl with the sauce. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Serve the buffalo wings immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping, and celery and carrot sticks on the side. Enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to pat the wings very dry before seasoning for maximum crispiness.
Cooking time may vary slightly depending on the size of your wings and your air fryer model.
For even crispier skin, you can toss the wings with ½ teaspoon of baking powder along with the salt and pepper before air frying.
To make these wings less spicy, use a mild buffalo sauce. For more heat, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 360°F for 5 minutes to re-crisp.
