Ingredients

  • 9 flour tortillas 8 inches/20 cm each (360g/12.7 oz)
  • 115 g ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3.5 g 1 heaping ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 80 g 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice each tortilla into 8 equal triangles. Place the triangles in a large bowl.
  • In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
  • Pour the melted butter over the tortilla triangles in the large bowl. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered tortilla pieces, tossing continuously to distribute it evenly.
  • Working in batches if needed, arrange the coated tortilla triangles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes, tossing every few minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer the baked chips to a baking sheet to cool completely. The chips will become crispier as they cool.
  • Repeat with the remaining tortilla triangles until all are baked.
  • Serve the crispy cinnamon tortilla chips with fruit salsa, ice cream, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • This recipe yields approximately 40 cinnamon tortilla chips.
  • The leftover cinnamon-sugar mixture can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for future use.
  • To bake in the oven, arrange tortilla triangles on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.
  • The recipe can be easily doubled or tripled for larger servings or parties.
