Ingredients

  • 210 g 7.4 oz cake mix
  • 115 g 4 oz whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 1 large egg
  • Powdered sugar for coating.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a large cookie sheet by misting it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, whipped topping, and egg. Stir until the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated, forming a smooth dough.
  • Using a medium-sized cookie scoop, portion out tablespoon-sized dough balls. If desired, gently roll each dough ball in powdered sugar to coat the surface.
  • Arrange the sugar-coated (or plain) cookie dough balls on the prepared cookie sheet, spacing them apart to allow for spreading during baking.
  • Bake the cookies for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they develop a delightful golden hue.
  • Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack or serving platter.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try using different flavors of cake mix or adding mix-ins like chocolate chips or sprinkles to the dough.
  • If the dough seems too thick, you can add a splash of milk or cream to achieve a more manageable consistency.
  • These cookies are best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
