Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound frozen green beans ends trimmed (454 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 30 mL
  • 1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder 12 grams
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese 25 grams
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, toss the green beans with the olive oil until evenly coated. Add the garlic powder and toss again until combined.
  • Arrange the coated green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
  • Return to oven and bake for 5-10 minutes more, until beans are tender.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try mixing in lemon zest, crushed red pepper flakes, chopped almonds, or hazelnuts.
  • To make ahead, roast beans, let cool completely, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Reheat before serving.
