Air Fryer Boneless Wings

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (680 grams), cut into 1-2 inch pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour 125 grams
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs 100 grams
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce

Instructions
 

  • Cut the chicken breasts into 1-2 inch pieces and pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.
  • In one shallow bowl, beat the eggs. Place the flour in a second shallow bowl. In a third shallow bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  • Working one piece at a time, dredge the chicken in the flour, dip it in the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat all sides in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a plate. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Add half of the chicken in a single layer, without overcrowding. Lightly spray chicken with additional cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, gently flipping halfway, until chicken is golden brown and internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees f(74°C).
  • Transfer the roasted chicken to a bowl and repeat the process with the remaining raw chicken.
  • Add cooked chicken back to the air fryer basket. Pour buffalo sauce over chicken and gently toss to coat. Air fry for 2 additional minutes just to adhere to the sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added crunch, dredge the floured chicken in cornstarch before dipping it in egg.
  • For spicier wings, use hotter sauce. or choose your favorite sauce
  • Cooked wings can be stored leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 4-5 minutes of cook time.
