Put the frozen sweet potato cubes in a bowl. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian herb mix, and chili powder if using. Toss until the potatoes are thoroughly coated.
Transfer the coated sweet potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd.
Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the potatoes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Notes
Do not thaw the sweet potatoes before air frying or cooking from frozen works best.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket so the potatoes cook evenly. Cook in batches if needed.
Use air fryer liners or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
The air fryer yields better results than the oven for frozen sweet potatoes.
To reheat leftovers, air fry at 350°F for 4-5 minutes or microwave until hot.
